Bone Marrow Concentrate

Contact our Minnesota stem cell therapy physicians today to set up your appointment and see if you are a good candidate for bone marrow concentrate – (612) 207-7463.

What is Bone Marrow Concentrate?

The bone marrow is a rich source of mesenchymal stem cells in the human body. The Bone Marrow can be aspirated from the iliac crest and concentrated (BMC) in a centrifuge to maximize the stem cell count. These mesenchymal stem cells can then be placed into a specific joint or a disc(s) to help promote the healing and regeneration of these areas. Bone Marrow Concentrate can be used to effectively treat all of the following:

  • Osteoarthritis in any Joint
  • Degenerated Disc
  • Orthopedic Injuries
  • Tendonitis and Partial Tendon Tears

Stem cells are unique cells in our body that can duplicate themselves many times over and can continue to regenerate throughout our lives. Each particular stem cell can only become either one type or a very limited number of cell types. As we get older, we have fewer of these stem cells in our body, which is why we have a decreased ability to heal and regenerate our normal tissue. This particular type of stem cell modulates your immune system, is extremely anti-inflammatory and has many positive effects in helping your body treat autoimmune conditions.  Introducing new stem cells to the body could help counteract the effects of degeneration, and help to heal arthritic joints, degenerated discs and partially torn ligaments and tendons.

Mesenchymal stem cells are being investigated by many research facilities world-wide for their healing and regenerative properties. The mesenchymal stem cell is the main cell helping your body heal from orthopedic and spine injuries and helping treat degenerative conditions such as arthritis.

  • The staff member will then email you a link to the website, where you can access the “Virtual Exam Room” via your computer tablet or smartphone.
  • This is a covered service with most insurance companies including Medicare, however, if it is not covered by your plan, then there will be an additional fee.
  • At the scheduled time, you and your provider will access the virtual exam room and conduct your visit.
